This quality control slide is Teflon coated with two 7 mm wells containing homogeneous suspensions of methanol-fixed rat lung tissue. One well contains normal rat lung tissue; the other contains rat lung heavily infected with Pneumocystis jirovecii (carinii) cysts and trophs. There is a frosted area at one end for labeling use.
