Purpose of the processing of personal data

Personal data is processed to maintain customer relationship, to process orders, to send newsletters and other marketing communications and for statistical and development purposes.  You can unsubscribe newsletter any time by clicking the link in the bottom of the newsletter.

Content of register

The register includes personal information only concerning one’s role in the company he / she is working. Such personal data can be but is not limited to: full name, name of the company, position in company, email address, phone number for work, field of business of the company, company address, company invoicing address, login information (user name and password) to Labema web shop, permission or refusal to direct marketing. The register may also contain information given by the person in Labema events and meetings, or other information such as feedback, complaint or request for a quote.  

Personal data is principally stored for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes mentioned in this privacy notice and for complying with other compulsive legislation such as bookkeeping act. 

Regular sources of information

The data in the register is gathered when a customer relationship is formed or customer enters his / her data to register to the web shop. Personal data can also be gathered from events and exhibitions and all publicly available internet sources.

Information transfer outside EU / ETA

Personal data is not transferred outside EU / ETA as a rule. Data can be transferred to Labema’s affiliated companies or to suppliers to provide service, such as handling and delivering orders, and matters concerning warranty, repair, marketing and reporting. External service providers that process data on our behalf are contractually obliged to maintain strict confidentiality. Labema retains responsibility for safeguarding your information in such circumstances.

Erasure of data

Information can be deleted, if so requested by client / stakeholder’s representative or due to client account termination.

Principles of securing the data

The register is maintained by a digital system. Logging in to the system is protected by user names and pass words. Access rights are given to a Labema employee, whose tasks require access. Manually handled documents containing personal data of the registered people, such as contact information form filled in an event, are stored in a locked room until information is transferred to a digital file.

Databases and the backup copies of those are protected by a firewall and are stored in locked rooms. Controller takes care that only those employees of Labema and external service providers, whose tasks require handling the data, have access to personal data.

 

Right to check data, demand corrections to the data and to deny data processing

A registered person has a right to check his / her data stored in the register. Request to check the data shall be sent in written to customer service of Labema Oy, labema@labema.fi from that particular email address of which the data is connected to. Labema Oy replies to requests according to the Personal Data Act within two months after having received a request.

A registered person has a right to claim corrections to the data stored and to deny direct e-marketing by informing in writing to customer service of Labema Oy, labema@labema.fi or to contact person in matters related to register.
